Accessible - Distance Education Options

Distance Education Courses: Each student works independently with a faculty supervisor and grader to complete a distance education course. Enrollment is "on demand." Visit the distance learning section of this site to read more about this option.

Advantage: This format grants schedule flexibility by allowing the student to begin the course at any time.

Cluster Distance Education Courses: In this format students join together to complete a distance education course with occasional interaction (electronically/by phone) with the faculty. These classes are delivered on CD-ROM/DVD-ROM and contain both video and PowerPoint for the student to watch and interact with. Students also interact with their grader and fellow students through the Distance Education website and the Center for Lifelong Learning coordinators.

Advantage: This course format allows for scheduling flexibility with greater interpersonal interaction than an independent distance learning course.
