Applicants should submit all application materials (forms, fees, essays, recommendations and transcripts) to the campus to which they are applying as early as possible, but no more than one year before the semester that they intend to start. Applicants are expected to submit an application with all required materials by the application deadline specified on this page. in order to be guaranteed consideration for their preferred degree program. Distance Learning applications may be submitted directly to the Portland campus.
Applicants are welcome to contact their campus Admissions Office to verify the arrival of documents such as transcripts and recommendations. Once the seminary has received the entire application, the Admissions Committee will review the application and notify the applicant in writing regarding admission status. If more information is needed from the applicant, they will be contacted by telephone, email or in writing.
If you are applying as an international student, we recommend that your application form be received by March 1 and that all materials are submitted by June 30. Should you wish to request an exception to our application policy, please contact Dr. John Branner, International Student Coordinator at
*NOTE: For Master of Arts in Counseling and Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy applicants, the following must be completed by the due date:
- submission of application, essays, transcripts, and references
- completion of required testing and
- a faculty interview scheduled.
*NOTE: For the Doctor of Ministry program, some doctoral courses are offered mid-way through the semester to which you are applying. Doctor of Ministry program applicants who meet the general admission standards may apply for admission to the Doctor of Ministry program after the above mentioned deadlines. However, all application materials must be received 10 weeks before the start date of the course.
