Adjunct Instructor
Ann is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been working in the field of counseling
for over 9 years. She has a Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy and Art Therapy from
College of Notre Dame in Belmont, California. She currently works at the San Jose Christian Counseling
Center in San Jose and has been teaching the Marital and Family Therapy/Addiction Studies Practicum
courses at Western Seminary since the spring of 2011 and art therapy courses since 2010. Ann has
extensive experience counseling individuals, couples and children in the areas of sexual and physical
abuse, abandonment, adult and child anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders [OCD], Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD], Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD], parent education, foster
care and adoption. She has been a consecrated deaconess for over 25 years, is a member of the Lutheran
Deaconess Association and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Ann has
been married for over 20 years and has three children.
