Dr. Mary Anne Fifield is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who is also certified as an Addiction Specialist and Sex Addiction Therapist. She is the Founder and Clinical Director of the Addiction Recovery Center (ARC), a nonprofit treatment program for addicts and their partners. Dr. Fifield has taught Western Seminary’s Substance Abuse classes in the past, as well as currently teaches our Sex Addiction electives. Mary Anne has also been a very popular speaker at our Christian Therapists Fellowship. She has led many seminars and workshops about addiction, the brain and recovery. She has published: a chapter entitled “Addictions” in a book called Shepherding Women in Pain by Bev Hislop, ed. (Moody Publishers 2010) and in 2005 The American Journal of Pastoral Counseling (Vol. 8, #1) published her article, “Spirituality in the Therapeutic Community: A Christian Perspective.”
