Description of Agency:
Counseling center for a Lutheran Christian liberal arts college campus. The majority of clietns are 18-21 years of age, but there are some older clients too.

Clients Served:
  Young Adults
Adults
-The majority of clients are college students 18-21 years of age, often female. Some students are Christians and others are not. Many present with depression, anxiety, eathing disorders, and body image issues. Crisis work is referred out. Counseling is brief and must conclude by the end of each semester. Student clients may elect to continue their counseling fht following semester. There is some limited opportunities to do premarital and marital counseling.

Please send a letter of interst and resume to Mr. McGlasson at the above address before contaction him. He will call at set up an interview. Applications are due by March 3, interviews will take place by the end of March. Internships begin in the Fall only-- there are no January internships available.

Requirements:
Prefer applicants who are willing to take initative, make presentaions and who desire to learn. Interns must have a teachable disposition, be flexible, and outgoing Both first-time and experienced interns are welcome to apply..

Specific Schedule Requirements?
Monday through Thursday, 8-10 hours a week, flexible hours.

Stressors at this Site:
Because it iis a school campus, it is a nontraditional setting and counselors may encounter clients in other setting on campus. Caseloads tend to build slowly at the beginning of the school year.

Summary Comments:
Mr. McGlasson is passionate about mentoring counseling students and is willing to spend extra time beyond the on hour per week of supervision.
