personal security and high level of client dysfunction

Summary Comments:
Interns will be functioning in a counselor/chaplain role, therefore discussing spirituality is encouraged. However, interns will be expected to encourage the inmate in whatever the client's chosen religion might be. Security issues may be a stressor, given the population served, however, interns will be seeing inmates in correctional facility offices. Interns will have the opportunity to work with inmates over a period of time from incarceration through release and reintegration into the community.
