Send resume to Denny Deveny, call for an application and interview time. The first interview will be one-on-one, the second with a team of counselors from the center.

Requirements:
In addition to counseling responsibilities, interns must be willing to maintain some active participation in church worship services and activities.

Specific Schedule Requirements?
Flexible with student schedule, Mondays-Fridays 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. Interns will be expected to be on-site 6-15 hours per week.

Stressors at this Site:
The site administration has a "high expectation of excellence." Dual relationships can be more problematic when encountered clients at other functions within the church. Working in a church setting can highlight the tension sometimes experienced between grace and truth. Office space is sometime challenging to schedule.

Summary Comments:
Interns have the opportunity to work with a broad variety of client ages and issues, since the church also has an on-site school. The work environment is pleasant, spiritually-based, and professional.

Directions:
From Hawthorne Blvd. turn left onto 60th. Follow 60th down, turning left on Stark and right onto 60th again. Turn right on NE Willow. Turn a slight left to take the I-84 East/US-30 East freeway. Take the exit towards Woodvillage/Gresham. Turn right on NE 238th Dr. which becomes NE 242nd Dr. and continue to NE Burnside St. Turn a slight left on Burnside which becomes US-26, and proceed to SE Haley Rd. Once there, turn right. The church is at 28986 SE Haley Rd.
