Stressors at this Site:
Population is fairly manipulative, focus of counseling is primarily substance abuse. There is an unpredictability of clients. Clients often say and do things that push therapists' buttons.
Summary Comments:
Interns will need to maintain strong boundaries with clients. If clients successfully complete the program, the average time frame is approximately two years: First Phase 4-6 months, Growth Phase 9-12 months, and Transition 4-6 months. The site clearly maintains a faith-based approach.
