Description of Agency:
An agency dedicated to meeting the needs of children who have Oregon Health Plan insurance. They provide a comprehensive range of services, including day treatment programs, outpatient counseling, family therapy, and case management.

Procedure for applying:
Mail a resume, then call Karen Dimalanta, Ph.D. to schedule an interview. Call in Spring, decisions for Fall internships will be made by end of June. Interns may only begin in the Fall--no mid-year placements. A background check will be required.

Requirements:
Must have completed one counseling internship prior to application to this site. Interns will need to possess good documentation skills, have a willingness to do case management, and be able to present him/herself in a professional manner before both individuals and groups.
Specific Schedule Requirements?
Flexible scheduling Monday through Friday early in the morning until 6 p.m. Interns are required to attend meetings on Tuesdays.
Stressors at this Site:
There are many "no-show" appointments, an abundance of paperwork and documentation, and severe pathology in some child clients.
Summary Comments:
This site would provide excellent training and great challenge. Interns would participate in multi-disciplinary treatment teams. Supervision includes one hour per week of individual and 1 1/2 hours per week of group.
