| Dr.
Hutchinson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social
Science from Santa Clara University, her Master of Arts from
Azusa Pacific University in Marital and Family Therapy, and
she has a Doctor of Psychology degree from California Coast
University. Dr. Hutchinson has specialized education, training,
and experience in such varied areas as working with multi-problem
families, child and adult physical, sexual, and emotional abuse,
domestic violence, drug and alcohol recovery, multicultural
issues, conflict resolution in the work place, working with
teens, helping birth mothers and prospective parents in open
adoptions, just to name a few. She has also trained MFT, Social
Work, and CAADAC trainees and interns. She teaches at the community
college and university level and has served as adjunct faculty
for CityTeam ministries’ ICUT program as well as teaching
at Western Seminary. Dr. Hutchinson is coauthor of a series
of audio tapes developed by the Southern Baptist Convention
in assisting teens deal with the complexities of our modern
world. She has also reviewed grant proposals for the National
Center for Child Abuse and Neglect and the Department of Human
Services in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Hutchinson
has been married to Chester R. Hutchinson for 30 years and they
have two adult children, Reginald and Treasure, age 29. Dr.
Hutchinson has been in private practice for nearly 20 years.
She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified
alcohol and drug counselor. She works with individuals and couples
as well as specializing in helping patients who are contemplating
and/or have experienced weight loss surgery.
