Services to Individuals - Estate Planning

If you don’t complete an estate plan, the state in which you live has already made a “will” for you. Unfortunately, it does not take your desires into consideration and could prove costly.

Effective estate planning includes:

• Providing for loved ones through a will or trust.
• Making decisions about financial desires before an emergency prevents you from doing so.
• Designating a guardian and/or trustee for minor children.
• Reducing settlement costs and estate taxes.
• Creating a business-succession plan for family-owned businesses.
• Remembering the church and other favorite charities.
• Providing lifetime income for yourself and/or loved ones, especially those who are disabled.
• Leaving a Christian testimony in your will.
• Preparing health-care directives.

What Ministry Advance Foundation will do for you:

• Provide trustworthy Christian guidance by a representative who will walk you through the process of setting up and completing your estate plan.
• Help you make the most of the expensive, yet essential, time an attorney spends preparing your will or other estate-planning document.
• Answer your questions and provide useful data-organizing forms.

• Planned Giving:
  Estate design including wills, trusts, tax planning, business succession, gift annuities and related areas.

• Trust Management:
  Administration and asset management for charitable trusts.

• Endowment Management:
  Setting up and managing endowed fund.

• Donor Advised Fund:
  Creating a philanthropic fund in which the donor receives a current income tax deduction. The donor plays a more active role by recommending at a later date which charities will benefit.
