Western-Arcade Library's Instructional Services Program provides instruction and orientation services to Western Seminary Sacramento faculty, students, and staff. The librarian works with faculty to provide students with the skills needed to complete specific course assignments. This goal is accomplished by designing and providing instruction focused on teaching students skills needed to seek, find, retrieve, evaluate, and use information both effectively and ethically—regardless of the delivery format.
Faculty may request course-specific library instruction to coincide with a course assignment or other research needs. Additional library sponsored research and writing workshops are offered throughout the academic year.
Information literacy is considered an integral part of the learning experience at Western Seminary Sacramento. The library plays a significant role in imparting knowledge to prepare students to be able to handle the manipulation of information effectively in their future vocations.
