Usage Guidelines

Hours of Operation
Western-Arcade Library is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. The library is also open nights and weekends as posted.  Please see the current library schedule for specific dates and times.

Patron Usage
Western Seminary students and regular attendees of Arcade Church have free access to the Library. The Library is also open to members of other churches and the local community for a $10 annual usage fee.

Borrowing Privileges
• All library materials may be checked out for three weeks.
• There is a 15-item limit per card.
• There is a $1 borrowing fee per video (due at checkout).

Holds
You can request a hold on a resource not currently on the shelves. We will call you when the book arrives and hold it for you at the circulation desk for three weeks.

Renewals
All items may be renewed two (2) times. Items may be renewed in the library or by phone. After two (2) renewals, library patrons must return the items to the library. Patrons are free to check out any of the same items for which there are no pending holds.

Lost, Damaged and Overdue Items
We do not charge fines for overdue items. If you accidentally lose or damage an item we greatly appreciate, but do not require, a donation to cover the cost of replacement.

Resource Requests
We are happy to accept patron requests and recommendations for future purchases. All requests are evaluated using the Library’s selection criteria before a decision to purchase is made.

Donations
We are happy to accept donations of gently used books, audio books, magazines and videos both for our own collection and our annual book sale.
