Borrowing Privileges

• All library materials may be checked out for 21 days (3 weeks).
• All library materials may be renewed two (2) times.
• There is a 15-item per card limit.
• There is a $1 borrowing fee per video (due at checkout).
• Reference and reserve books do not circulate.
  

Patron Responsibility Library patrons are responsible for all materials checked out on their card .

Holds Library patrons can request a hold on resources not currently on the shelves. We will call you when the book arrives and hold it for you at the circulation desk for three (3) weeks.

Overdue Items Library patrons with overdue items will be notified in the following way:

• When the items are one (1) week overdue, the patron will receive a phone call.
• When the item is four (4) weeks overdue, the patron will receive a letter listing the outstanding items and their replacement value.

At this point, the patron’s library account will be fined and patrons cannot check out additional items until the outstanding items are returned or replaced.

Lost and Damaged Items Library patrons who lose or damage items beyond repair are required to replace them. Patrons may replace lost or damaged items in the following ways:

• Pay the library (via cash or check) for the cost of the item.
• Replace the lost item with a new copy of the same title. If an item is no longer available for purchase, the librarian will select an equivalent title as a replacement option.

Resource Requests The Library is happy to accept patron recommendations for future purchases. All requests are evaluated against the Library’s selection criteria before a decision to purchase is made.

Donations We are happy to accept donations of gently used books, audio books, magazines, and videos both for our own collection and our annual book sale.
