Western provides students with full access from any web connection
to five leading religion and psychology databases through EBSCOhost,
plus seven other search engines to choose from.
Please note that as of 7/12/11, the EBSCOhost password has changed.
If you need to use EBSCOhost to access online journals, you will need to send the librarian, Sharon
Ho, an email for the new password.
- ATLA Religion Database – more than 1
million records from theological journals, essays, book reviews, etc. covering Biblical studies,
world religions, church history and religious perspectives on social issues from 1949 to present.
ATLA Religion Database has added some new resources. Please read the
update.
- PsycARTICLES – more than 134,000 articles
from 63 journals covering peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology, 50 published
by the American Psychological Association (APA).
Registered students may access the above from home. Please note that
by contract these databases are for use by current Western students and faculty only. Registered
students will receive the password and ID to access these databases.
All students will have the opportunity to receive training from the
branch librarian for the online resources.
