This year you can earn continuing education units (CEUs) as you attend the convention. Simply use the attached form to track your attendance in general sessions or conference seminars, then submit it with a small fee, to receive your CEU Certificate from Western Seminary by mail within 3 weeks.

Questions and Answers

• What are CEUs?
  Continuing Education Units are a nationally recognized measure of non-credit learning. Typically, one CEU is earned for each 10 hours of instruction, although that ratio may be determined by the receiving organization or agency. Western Seminary maintains a record of both the CEUs granted and the number of instructional hours so you can use your NPC hours to meet your professional needs.
  
• How Do CEUs Help Me?
  CEUs help to demonstrate your commitment to sharpen your skills and maintain currency through continuing, professional and authenticated learning experiences. The National Pastors Convention provides a unique opportunity to learn from many of the most respected men and women in ministry. CEUs will provide a visible, practical record of your investment in yourself and your ministry.
  
• Can I Earn Academic Credit with CEUs?
  No. CEUs are always non-credit and cannot be converted to academic credit, nor will they appear on an academic transcript. Nevertheless, they do provide a helpful barometer of student learning, and a record of CEUs earned is maintained by the Western Seminary Center for Lifelong Learning in Portland, Oregon.
  
• How Many CEUs Will I Earn?
  Western Seminary will use the 1 CEU for 10 instructional hours formula. That means you will receive .1 CEU for each attendance hour. For example, if you par tic pate in 10 instructional hours, you will receive 1 CEU. If your Activity Record Form includes 8 hours, you will receive .8 CEUs.
  
• How Much Does it Cost?
  By special arrangement with the National Pastors Convention, you can receive your CEU Certificate from Western Seminary for only $10.00 when submitted with your completed CEU Activity Record Form.
