Facilities at Western Seminary Parking Students come to seminary on foot, on bicycle and of course, in cars. If you choose to drive to Western, you will not need a parking permit to use the parking lots. You are welcome to park in the paved parking lots on the north and east sides of the campus. As a courtesy to our neighbors, we ask students not to park on the north side of Madison St. or the east side of 57th Ave. In addition, we ask you not to leave your car in the parking lots overnight.
The chapel basement is where you'll find Western Seminary's student center. This is a comfortable place where you can eat your meals, study, check your mailbox, or visit with friends. We're happy to offer you a microwave, comfortable couches and free local phone calling. The Cafe Also located in the chapel basement, Western Seminary's cafe provides a few hot meals throughout the week. Plus, you'll usually find deli-style sandwiches, snacks, chips, fruit and microwaveable entrees that are available for purchase. Housing If you are moving to Portland in order to attend Western Seminary, we'll be able to help you as you make your transition. Members of the community will often provide housing to seminary students at a reduced rate, and the Enrollment Office maintains a notebook of these and other housing options. Please feel free to contact us with your housing questions, and we'll do our best to assist you.
