Christians in the Marketplace

Many people spend far more time in the workplace than they do in the church. How do they represent Christ in this critical mission fiel3d? How do business leaders apply biblical principles to their leadership and interaction with others in the marketplace in such a way that Christ is glorified and mn and women are born into the Kingdom of God? How does the church understand and support in meaningful ways this enormous but often over-looked mission opportunity? And how do we establish our practices and perspectives in the workplace upon a sound biblical and theological foundation. Kent Humphreys, former CEO of Fellowship of Companies for Christ (Christ@Work) and Dr. Gerry Breshears, Professor of Theology at Western Seminary, will share helpful insights that will help you be more effective in your workplace ministry.

To illustrate what it means to be a Christian making a difference in the Marketplace, Bill McLeod, founder of Mission ConneXion Northwest, interviews Bill Job who for many years has served as founder and president of Meixia International. He shares from his heart and from his experience what it has meant to serve Christ as a business leader in China. You will be encouraged and challenged as the Lord opens your eyes to new mission opportunities in business.

Foundations in Theological Studies

All Christians have been commissioned by Christ to be His agents of hope in the world. As ministry leaders we share an even greater responsibility to share the Good News of God to men and women who desperately need to come into personal relationship with Him. But can we be truly effective in our 21st century context lacking a biblical understanding of the Gospel message? And how do we communicate that Gospel in an increasingly pluralistic world where our truth claims find a very different reception from even a generation ago. This certificate in basic theological foundations will help you understand better what you believe, how to communicate a rich Gospel message to a challenging world, and how to maintain a personal walk with Christ that supports and authenticates and empowers your witness.
