The Western Seminary Center for Lifelong Learning extends the
teaching ministry of the seminary to men and women
across the nation and around the globe who would not
otherwise have the opportunity to access premier-quality
ministry training. New and evolving technologies drive
innovative learning systems that bring our classrooms
to your desktop, dynamically connecting you to your
instructor and to other students who, like you, are
committed to preparing for effective ministry as they
answer the call of God to service.
The mission statement of
the seminary explains that “Western Seminary
serves as a catalyst and resource for spiritual transformation
by providing, with and for the church, advanced training
for strategic ministry roles.” To that
statement, WSCLL metaphorically adds the words “Any
one. Any time. Any where.” We bring that same
advanced, transformative training into the field,
into the family and ministry contexts of our students
which together become a vibrant learning laboratory
where today’s lessons can be applied today to
impact those whom God has called you to serve.
Our students combine DVD
ROM, audio and other media resources with a vibrant
Internet learning community to provide an effective
distance learning experience that can be applied toward
16-hour Graduate Studies Certificates, 30-hour Graduate
Studies Diplomas, or toward the Master of Arts or
Master of Divinity programs. For those who qualify
for the in-ministry degree option, a student can earn
a 60-hour Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry through
a combination of distance education and on-campus
intensives without ever relocating to a Western Seminary
campus. And, as our student have enthusiastically
noted, every WSCLL audio or DVD ROM course is yours
to keep, thereby bringing our internationally-respected
faculty into your ministry study whenever you need
them.
