BIOGRAPHIES:

Carol Kent. When Carol Kent takes the platform she delights and inspires audiences across the country and around the world . The energy is palpable as this dynamic speaker captivates the audience and commands the stage. She is articulate, warm, and personable. Whether giving a training seminar or a poignant talk, Carol knows how to speak truth that is biblically sound, relevant, and uplifting, skillfully punctuating it with timely humor.

Carol has an MA in Communication Arts and a BS in Speech Education. She has taught speech & drama, directed women's ministries, and co-hosted a weekly radio program. She is also a member of the National Speakers Association, on the advisory boards of the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, and actively serves on the advisory board of MOPS International.

Carol has also been featured on the cover of Today's Christian Woman magazine and regularly appears in a wide variety of television and radio talk shows. She has often been a guest on Focus on the Family and a featured speaker at Women of Faith, Time Out for Women, and Heritage Keepers arena events as well as a frequent speaker at Extraordinary Women events across the country. She regularly appears on a wide variety of nationally syndicated radio and television broadcasts. Carol was keynote speaker for the televised and nationally syndicated women’s conference sponsored by Church Communications Network.

Carol Kent, nationally known founder and director of Speak Up With Confidence seminars, is committed to helping Christians develop their communication skills. She is also the president of Speak Up Speaker Services, a Christian speakers’ bureau. In recent years, Carol founded the nonprofit organization, Speak Up for Hope, which benefits the families of incarcerated individuals. "The goal of the organization is to give hope to the hopeless, encouragement and strength to the weary, healing to marriages that have been torn apart by incarceration, and mental, spiritual, and physical stability to the children of prisoners."

A gifted writer, Carol's books include: When I lay My Isaac Down; Speak Up With Confidence; Becoming a Woman of Influence; Mothers Have Angel Wings; Secret Longings of the Heart; Tame Your Fears; and Detours, Tow Trucks and Angels in Disguise (published by Nav Press). Her newest book is A New Kind of Normal (Thomas Nelson.)

She has also co-written with Karen Lee-Thorp the Designed for Influence Bible Studies (six books in the series.) Carol was the co-author and general editor of the Kisses of Sunshine series of five books. Her numerous interviews and articles have been published in a wide variety of magazines.

 

Anne Denmark

is a gifted communicator, skilled in creative teaching techniques, developing creativity, the appropriate use of humor, props, visual aids, and more. She enjoys speaking at women's retreats, communication workshops, and marriage seminars along with her husband, Don.

Anne is a Professional Life Coach and finds great pleasure in helping others discover their God-given purpose and potential as they begin to lead more balanced lives. She is an Ambassador with the Institute of Life Coach Training and is affiliated with the Christian Coaches Network.

Leaning is fun for Anne. She holds a BA degree in Applied Science in Child Development and a MA degree in education. For enjoyment she has taken courses in floral design and clowning! Anne’s writings appear in: Mothers Have Angel Wings and Tame Your Fears as well as Kisses of Sunshine.

Anne and Don emigrated from Canada to the U.S. many years ago, becoming American citizens, but admit that "maple syrup and hockey still run in their blood." They have taken extended mission trips to Ethiopia and Nigeria.

Anne and Don have three adult children and one grandchild. Together they have experienced deep sorrow and grief, the challenges of raising a child with ADD, and the aftermath of a near fatal hit-and-run car accident. They consider every day a gift and another opportunity to touch a life for Christ.

 

Jennie Dimkoff

is a gifted storyteller, motivational speaker, trainer, and writer. She speaks at women's retreats, conferences, college campuses, and training seminars both in the US and Canada as well as abroad.

Jennie has authored: Night Whispers, Bedtime Bible Stories for Women and More Night Whispers. Her works: Passionate Faith! Ancient Truths for Contemporary Women and Unexpected Grace, Ancient Truths for Contemporary Women both include ten-week Bible studies and discussion guides. Jennie has also published numerous stories for various publishing houses.

She serves on the advisory board of Advanced Writer and Speaker’s Association (AWSA), is a member of the board of trustees for Cornerstone University and the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in Michigan, and serves on the board of Speak Up for Hope.

Jennie is the President of Storyline Ministries, Inc.; the author and storyteller for Kids' Time; and team teaches at Speak Up With Confidence Seminars, founded by her sister, Carol Kent.

Jennie has a passion for women's ministries. She particularly enjoys mentoring young university women and challenging them to use their potential for Christ’s Kingdom.

Jennie and her husband, Graydon, have two adult children.

 

Bonnie Afman Emmorey

has been blessed with a rich family heritage. From growing up as a preacher’s kid amidst four sisters and one brother, to living with three men (her husband and sons), her life has been full. Bonnie is a speaker consultant with Speak Up Speaker Services, and works with Speak Up With Confidence Seminars, teaching communication skills from a Christian perspective.

Bonnie, (BA in Speech, BS in Education) has been on the Speak Up With Confidence teaching team since its beginning. She has worked with her sister, Carol Kent, for many years, as well as being a speech consultant for men and women across the country, assisting them in organizing and developing their presentations. She will help you think in outline form, making your talk more memorable, and will assist you in moving your speeches from inspirational to transformational. Gene Kent

is a vital member of the Speak Up with Confidence team, handling many of the logistical and business affairs to keep things running smoothly. Gene is a quiet strength and stabilizing factor to the team, often fulfilling many of the behind-the-scenes tasks and details.

At conferences, he cheerfully chauffeurs the team, sets up and mans the book table, runs countless errands, yet still finds time to share in some of the hilarious skits. Gene's constructive critiquing in small groups encourages, challenges, and brings out the best in each participant.

Gene is also known for his faithful love and devotion to his wife, Carol. They make a powerful team as they minister together.
