    Core Ministry of the LifeChange Women's Director:
    To bond and empathize with female LifeChange residents, while building a team of resident leaders, staff and volunteers that will fully meet their spiritual and recovery needs and establish them in healthy godly living, and to effectively work with all other ministry teams at Union Gospel Mission.

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Supervises:
    Female LifeChange residents, and Women's Team support staff and volunteers. (When the resident population of women reaches 15, a part time Women's Ministry Assistant may be recruited and hired.)

    Relates Closely With:
    LifeChange Women Resident Leaders, LifeChange Fellowship Pastor, LifeChange Services Director, LifeChange Recruitment Specialist, UGM Communications Director, UGM Executive Assistant, UGM Finance Director, and the UGM Executive Director.

    Responsibilities
    1. To bond and empathize with the female LifeChange residents;
    2. Build and develop a LifeChange Women's Team with residents, staff and volunteers;
    3. Work collaboratively and cooperatively on the LifeChange Leadership Team;
    4. Conduct all interviews with potential female residents and guide them through intake;
    5. Strategize how to meet the spiritual needs represented by all LC women;
    6. Help women to develop their gifts, talents, and skills for ministry;
    7. Oversee budget preparation and expenditures for the Women's Team.

  • Ministry: ARMS Abuse Recovery Ministry & Services

    Abuse Recovery Ministry & Services (ARMS) is seeking a Director of Development to provide leadership in its fundraising programs. ARMS provides free, faith-based classes to help women recover from domestic abuse. Based in Hillsboro, ARMS also offers intervention classes for perpetrators as well as an innovative youth violence prevention program. ARMS programs are growing rapidly, expanding throughout the Pacific Northwest.

    Duties include
    • major donor cultivation and solicitation, working in tandem with the Executive Director and Board.
    • managing fundraising banquets & other events
    • developing donor communications, including newsletters, brochures, appeal letters and website
    • overseeing the donor database
    • managing the grant application & reporting program

    Qualifications include
    • Two years successful experience in public relations and fundraising or in sales
    • Training in domestic violence preferred;a heart to help the traumatized required.
    • Must support the Christian principles that guide the organization

    Annual Salary: $40,000

    Position: Associate Administrator
    Job Status: Part-time. Wages negotiable

    Purpose: To oversee day to day office administration, coordination of volunteers, support to victims, and various miscellaneous tasks.

    Supervision: Associate Administrator reports directly to Executive Director

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • It is the principal duty of all ARMS employees to support accomplishment of the organization’s mission and vision, to perform any and all duties which may subsequently be assigned to facilitate achievement of that mission and vision, and provide caring support in all interactions with staff and clients.
    • It is expected that all ARMS employees will perform their work in accordance with established policies, procedures, and values and within the requirement of all applicable state laws.

    The duties of the Associate Administrator include, but are not limited to:

    • Answer phones, including support to victims in need/crisis
    • Coordinate and supervise volunteers
    • Monitor the integrity and consistency of all client files.
    • Take inventory and order as needed
    • Enter and oversee database
    • Run small errands on occasion
    • Help with fundraising and community outreach events
    • Light housekeeping
    • Promote positive relationship with the public

    i. Ensure open communications and good relationships with all referring agencies
    ii. Attend to client questions/complaints
    iii. Answer informational questions from the community.
    iv. Attend Domestic Violence council and Domestic Violence subcommittee meetings as needed

    Experience: Past experience in administration. Social services, and/or counseling experience as well as training in domestic violence and/or related fields preferred.

    Skills: Typing, basic computer: Word, Excel (Page Maker and/or Indesign a plus)

    Abilities: Ability to interact positively with clients, other agencies, court officers, coworkers, executive director and board of directors, ability to listen, understand, relate, confront, mediate and resolve conflicts. Ability to depersonalize behaviors, to focus on individual employee performance, to delegate effectively, to set priorities and manage time, and to trouble-shoot, both internally and with the public.

Cedar Mill Bible Church, a congregation of 1800, located in beautiful Portland, Oregon is soliciting resumes for Pastor of Women's Ministry.

Position concept: The Pastor to Women serves as a member of the pastoral team of CMBC with the primary focus of ministry being to equip women to become whole-hearted followers of Jesus Christ, who are devoted to helping others follow Him.

Desired qualifications and experience:
Possess a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and an authentic relationship with Him.
Strong interpersonal skills—ability to communicate persuasively and compassionately both orally and in writing.
Proven leader and strategic thinker.
Track record of building, encouraging and maintaining ministry teams.
A degree in Women's Ministry or equivalent training/experience. 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a large church (800+) environment.
Desired skills include teaching, leadership, training, counseling, administration.
Able to excel in a teamwork environment with the pastoral staff.

Primary responsibilities:
Provide vision and oversight to the Women's Ministry which includes leadership teams, small groups, mentoring teams, outreach events, Soul Care ministry, and others.
Lead in planning, organizing and implementing the direction of Women's Ministry.
Assist the church in meeting the spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs of women in their various stages of life.
Provide opportunities for the women of CMBC to connect, develop friendships, grow spiritually and encourage one another.
Recruit, train and equip leaders to serve in women's ministry.

Secondary responsibilities:
Provide oversight to the Hospitality and Greeter teams.
Provide information and advice to pastoral staff and elders on issues relating to, and of particular interest to, the women of CMBC.
Schedule and oversee periodic women's retreats and outreach events.
Be part of a pastoral care team, particularly relating to women.
Be responsible, in conjunction with the Business Administrator, to prepare and adhere to an annual budget.
