When Will I Receive a Tuition Bill?
Billing is done via e-mail (please keep us informed of your e-mail address). No paper statements are sent. It is the student's responsibility to know when tuition is due and pay it when it is due.
E-bills are sent:
- several weeks before the term begins,
- every time a debit or credit is made on your ledger, and,
- at the end of the month if there has been activity during the month or if there is a balance (debit or credit).
Payments are made:
Payment for degree tuition is due the first official week of the semester regardless of when your class meets. Non-credit tuition is due at the time of registration.
Payments made by eCheck (electronic check) are free of charge. Payments made by Debit or Credit cards will be charged a 2.65% processing service fee by our payment processor effective Fall 2014. Please pay by eCheck (checking or savings electronic check) to avoid this fee.
You may also mail a paper check to: Western Seminary, 5511 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR 97215 or enroll in TuitionPay to make monthly payments. Calling the cashier with payment information should only be done in emergencies.
Waiting on Financial Aid or a Third party payer?
It can take up to 8 weeks to receive finanical aid, so prepare now to pay in full by credit card, or enroll in TuitionPay if your financial aid or third party check does not arrive by the first week of the semeter. Failure to pay on time may result in the Business Office dropping you from your courses.
