A New Seminary Anatomy: Hand

Hands, Seasoned By On-the-ground Experience

How can we introduce others to God’s redemptive love if we aren’t willing to get our healing hands dirty? That’s why Western Seminary refuses to let ministry training be merely academic. Our professors are practitioners of the gospel, whose ongoing ministry work informs their teaching. Meanwhile, required mentored field ministry, counseling practicum, and intercultural internships direct students into a convergence of theory and gospel practice. And since most of our students already serve in ministry, we offer flexible class scheduling and distance learning that lets them train for ministry without relocating or disrupting their ministry work. Experienced hands help build churches that advance the Great Commission.
