Keynote Speaker

Lau Pam crpPamela Havey Lau is the author of A Friend in Me, Soul Strength and numerous articles for such publications as Christian Scholar's Review and Christianity Today. A graduate of Liberty University and Colorado State University, she has taught writing at George Fox University and speaks around the country at conferences and retreats.

After her three daughters were born, Pam began teaching writing at private day schools until 2010 when she started her own business, Real Life Images, where she writes, edits and speaks. Married to Dr. Brad Lau, a college administrator, they make their home near Portland OR with their daughters.

She is a Genesis lay counselor, retreat speaker, leader and mentor.  Lynn is on staff at Meadow Springs Community Church as Women's Ministry Director.  She has a degree in elementary education and has taught in public, private and charter schools for the past 38 years.  Lynn loves the outdoors and spending time with her four precious grandchildren.

Forstrom AmyWorship: Amy Forstrom will lead worship. Amy is a keyboardist and worship leader at New Heights Church, Vancouver, WA.  Amy is wife, mom of three boys, and a private music teacher.


Talking Beyond Texting - Speaking to the Heart of a Woman, Holley Clough

Lab: Our world is moving at a fast pace. Come and learn basic coaching skills to slow down as women, to really engage with yourself and each other at the heart level. Coaching is a great tool to use to engage with signals, stages, and life the way God intended. Move from where you are now to where God intends you to be!

Clough Holley.Su15Holley Clough has been an administrator, faculty member, and life coach for over twenty-five years in Christian higher education, non-profit, and business sectors. Her calling is to “Resonate her faith through helping others discern and develop their God given passion and potential.’’  She currently serves on the boards of the Christian Adult Higher Education Association, Mission Connexion, Nehemiah Project, Intl., and World Team, Intl.  Holley serves on the Educational Committee of the Christian Chamber of Commerce, and previously on the staff of her home church.  As an adult learner, she has earned a BA in Management and Organizational Leadership, a MA in Ministry and Leadership, a M.Div. equivalency, and a Doctorate of Ministry.

Dealing with Disappointment - Finding Hope Amidst Dashed Dreams, Mary Ann Noack

Lab: We live in a world of sin and suffering. At some point in our lives, we will all find that our greatest hopes, dreams and desires for our lives are dashed in some way. If you haven’t suffered disappointment yet, you probably haven’t lived long enough. Disappointment is a reality of life. So, how can we find hope in the midst of disappointment when it hits our marriages, our children or our careers? Come and discover how your “disappointments" may be God’s “appointments".

Noack Mary-Ann.2Mary Ann Noack is passionate about the Word of God as it is applied to an individual’s life by the power of the Holy Spirit and studied in community with others. This was evidenced in her own life as a student of Bible Study Fellowship for over 20 years. Today Mary Ann serves as the Associate Pastor to women at River West Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon. She enjoys teaching, training leaders and shepherding women in her church.

Mary Ann and Bob have been married over 30 years. They have two grown sons, Adam and Spencer and three beloved Golden Retrievers. Mary Ann is also working to complete her Masters of Biblical and Theological Study degree at Western Seminary.

Lab: Time! It’s neither a friend nor an enemy – it’s simply a tool waiting to be told what to do. Come and learn how to use it for good to the praise of God’s glory.

snavely-sandySandy Snavely is a former radio talk show host who uses her artistic skills to paint pictures with words and turn them into stories that matter. As a speaker, Sandy has shared Christ with women both nationally and internationally. Her latest book, Ellie’s Window, weaves the message of hope through the words of story. She and her husband Bud, have two adult children, two adorable grandchildren and two neurotic cats. Tadema Julie.F14Julie Tadema is in full-time team ministry with her husband Calvin. They offer healing prayer for the spiritual, emotional and physical realms through Master’s Mind Ministry. Individual healing prayer sessions encourage insight and growth, particularly for overcoming trauma and abuse. In addition Julie teaches the principles of mind renewal and listening prayer in classes, workshops and retreats. The Tademas have been married for 37 years, love teaching together, and sharing their enthusiasm for the transforming work of the Lord in people’s lives.

Discover and Enjoy Your Team's Strengths, Joyce Wachsmuth & Paulette Williams

Lab: Discover and Assess the ministry health of your team. What are the tools and resources for evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of your team. How does your team handle conflict? How do you develop trust on your team? Practical skills and tools will be shared in this workshop.

Joyce WachsmuthJoyce Wachsmuth has been Director of Women’s Ministries at Greater Portland Bible Church for 32 years, on the pastoral staff for 23 years and Director of Children’s Ministries for 6 years. She also has been a conference and retreat speaker for 25 years. Joyce and her husband, Doug, have been Marriage Mentors for over 30 years.  We enjoy being with our children and our eight grandchildren. 


Paulette Williams and her husband,Wayne, have both served actively at Greater Portland Bible Church for well over 20 years. Paulette has been very involved in leadership with women's ministries.
