The mission of Western Seminary Sacramento's Center for Leadership Development is to provide Bible-centered training to active and potential Christian leaders within the local churches, homes and workplaces of the Sacramento region.

The Center accomplishes its mission by exporting the strengths and expertise of Western's faculty, through training vehicles that are user-focused in topic, location, schedule and cost.

The CLD has experimented in the past with lay-oriented classes at various Sacramento learning centers (Arcade Church, Bayside Church and First Covenant Church and most recently, Sunrise Community Church), and will be experimenting in the near future with lay-oriented seminars at key churches that showcase Western professors on topics of current theological or relationship interest.
