Welcome to Integr@te!
| What is Integr@te? |
Integr@te (simply pronounced Integrate) is a course delivery and integrated learning system developed by Western Seminary to support students in the distance education program. Integr@te provides for rapid access to course materials and offers immediate access to a suite of bible study, communications and course calendaring options. |
| Why Integr@te? |
Western Seminary is committed to serving student interests anywhere in the world. Integr@te allows a student in Taiwan to access learning resources as quickly and as effectively as a student in Portland, San Jose or Sacramento. Integrate also allows students to have ready access to all distance courses taken, to study within a resource-rich learning system, and to backup online courses to disk for a lifelong learning resource archive. |
| Why Now? | Two elements are required to benefit optimally from Integr@te: High speed broadband access and high-capacity hard drive storage. In the last several years both have become the user standard rather than the exception. Even limited systems today ship from the factory with more than 180 GB of hard drive storage and terabyte drives can be purchased for $50 or less. Still, recognizing that not everyone has an optimal system configuration, and for the fall 2012 semester only, students who can demonstrate that they do not have the required broadband access may request a DVD ROM disk. |

At this point, the report is resident only on your computer; no report is sent to the Online Campus offices. In the future we may ask your permission to replace the self-reporting Moodle progress reports with automatically-generated Integr@te updates. |

| Downloading Your Course On Campus |
While students may desire to download courses to Integr@te while on campus, we would ask that you not do so.
