GRADUATE STUDIES DIPLOMA (GSD-PCW)

The Graduate Studies Diploma provides a good foundation of biblical education and ministry skills. It is designed to fulfill minimum educational requirements of certain parachurch and mission organizations. It consists of 30 semester hours of training. The GSD-PCW program may be used to satisfy the first year of an MA or M.Div program in Pastoral Care to Women, after successful completion with a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.

The GSD-PCW program is designed to deepen understanding and ministry skills for women ministering to women. The strong biblical and theological foundation, along with the spiritual formation enables students to be more confident and effective in their ministry. A balance of pastoral counsel for women, leadership development, biblical teaching, and program planning will be available in the PCW courses. Students will be well-prepared to serve in church, parachurch, or compassionate ministries to women as well as on the mission field.

    MINISTERIAL STUDIES | 6 CREDITS

    Any course with a DMS or PTS prefix with advisor approval.

     

    PASTORAL CARE TO WOMEN STUDIES | 12 CREDITS

    PCW512X Women in Pain, Part I (2)
    PCW513 Women in Leadership (2)

    Restricted electives - choose six credits from:
    PCW512Y Women in Pain, Part II (2)
    PCW514 Building Relational Ministries for Women (2)

    PCW521 Develop Life-Changing Bible Study Curriculum (2)

     

    ELECTIVES | 8 CREDITS Students anticipating or considering later applying these credits towards a master's degree (M.A. or M.Div.) should consult with their advisor to ensure that credits earned in the certificate program will apply toward their future degree program.
