Changes to FAFSA Availability

The Department of Education (DOE) has made some significant changes to the FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) for the 2017-18 academic year. Starting with the 2017-18 application cycle, the FAFSA will be available for the next academic year (Fall 2017- Summer 2018) starting on October 1, 2016.

Do not worry, you will not need to have your 2016 Federal Taxes completed prior to completing the new FAFSA as the DOE will be looking at information pulled from your 2015 Federal taxes. As in the past, please contact the Director of Financial Aid if you have had significant changes to your income from 2015 to the 2017-18 academic year.

For more information regarding the changes to the FAFSA process, please read the FAFSA PDF: "What You Need to Know About the 2017-2018 FAFSA."
