As of June 30, 2021. 

  • Western Seminary acknowledges that the institution signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement form. Western Seminary plans to allocate the applicable amount of funds received under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
  • Western Seminary will receive $194,306 from the Department of Education pursuant to the institution's Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) program.
  • 933 students are estimated to be eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) program.
  • $54,075 in Emergency Financial Aid Grants has been distributed to students under the initial round of disbursements (June 2021) from the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) program.
  • 36 students have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to Students under the initial round of disbursements (June 2021) from the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) program.
  • For the initial round of disbursements (June 2021) from the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) programs, Western Seminary determined that students experiencing a financial crisis that had arisen due to coronavirus could be considered for an Emergency Financial Aid Grant. Students eligible under that criteria received an award between $575 and $2,300, with the amount based on the nature of the financial crisis (lost income or increased expenses) and prior financial need, with priority given to those students demonstrating financial need as determined by the FAFSA (Expected Family Contribution). 
  • On April 30, 2021, Western Seminary provided instructions, directions, or guidance to students who were potentially eligible for an award under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) program, concerning Emergency Financial Aid Grants, via email, and via the Covid-Relief Questionnaire students were invited to submit. Students also received an email if awarded, which contained further instructions, directions, or guidance.
