Students in the Master of Divinity, MA (Biblical and Theological Studies), and MA in Ministry and Leadership programs have the option of working with their academic advisors to develop a concentration in a given area of specialization. Specialized areas of study include (but are not limited to):

Students in the diploma and certificate programs have the option of working with their academic advisors to develop a concentration in such areas of specialization:

Cohorts

Western offers some programs in a "cohort model" and reviews prospective students for admission based on criteria for each program. A cohort is simply a group of students who go through a degree program simultaneously from start to finish. In addition, cohort delivery requires that students agree to attend classes based on the proposed schedule in order to maintain continuous enrollment throughout the program.
