I use personal spiritual experiences to encourage others to see and hear how God is offering the extraordinary in their ordinary lives.
Through my Undivided Heart books, I integrate spiritual formation and psychology into a curriculum that enables people to discover what divides their hearts, minds and emotions. The result is individuals become undivided in their relationships with themselves, others, and God.
Undivided Heart, Book One and Book Two, is an in depth study founded on biblical principles. In it I connect fundamental concepts like the Beatitudes (Matt 5:3-10) and the fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23). The powerful assessment tools developed in these books help individuals discern spiritual bondages bringing them to true transformation in Christ.
"Bridging the hearts of men and women to the heart of God by rekindling Hope"
Over the years I have taught spiritual development to all age groups from preschoolers to adults. I also have created and sustained several Bible studies over the past 30 years. As RCIA Director for eight years, I designed an evangelical program, recruited and trained teams for two different churches. I also organized and presented conferences and weekend retreats for this program. I have been a team presenter for Solace of the Soul, a retreat for Western Seminary and was part of a team that presented prayer retreats for Bethany Evangelical Church in Canby, OR
Over a fifteen year period: I worked as an adjunct instructor for Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, OR; was the owner and presenter for Life Changes! in Camden, AR while also teaching adjunct for SAU-Tech in Camden. I have been an adjunct instructor for Portland Community College and Clackamas Community College teaching interpersonal communications, stress and time management, self esteem, as well as group dynamics and how to balance work and family. I have also taught these concepts in a variety of congregations including Evangelical, Baptist, United Methodist, Four Square and Catholic.
I am a spiritual director who meets via phone or one-on-one for spiritual formation for more than seven years. I also offered this service for free during my adjunct years of teaching.
I worked fifteen years in the corporate world: as an administrative assistant for the Office Services Manager of Zappa Corporation, Houston, TX as well as the Fund Development Director for Girl Scouts, Lake Oswego, OR and as Accounting Administrative Assistant to the CFO of the Oregon Lottery.
