Logos Training Resources

Logos Bible software is provided to all current students in programs and taking classes for credit at Western Seminary. We want you to be able to use the software well in your study and preparation for ministry. Below are some resources that we have created and some other great links that we have found that will help you learn to use the software effectively.

Upcoming Live Logos Training Sessions

  • Logos 101 Online: Getting Started (Register Here)

    July 16 @ 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central / 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific

    Why?:  It is very important for students to have a basic understanding of how Logos works. This will enable you to access the books, tools, and features you need efficiently.  In this training you will learn the essentials needed to effectively navigate Logos, create a custom study layout, and use Logos guides for quick access to a wealth of information. 

  • Logos 102 Online: Research and Writing (Register Here)

    July 23 @ 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central / 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific

    Why?:  You have been equipped with a significant number of theological works designed to help you as a student and in ministry. You need to learn how to find the books that help you accomplish different tasks, and you need to know how to efficiently find information in those books. This training will help you discover how Logos can support you in the research process. 

  • Logos 103 Online: Original Language Tools (Register Here)

    July 30
    @ 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central / 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific

    Why?:  Studying the original languages is no easy task, but it enables you to dig deeper and have more confidence in your understanding of the text. Logos is designed to support you in this and make difficult tasks more accessible. In this training you will learn how to set Logos up to interact with the original languages, do text criticism, and run basic to complex searches. 

Training Resources Included in Your Logos Software

  • QuickStart for Logos 7: Follow the link to open this resource in your Logos library, or, once you've opened Logos, type "open quickstart" into the command box at the top of your screen, and you'll find 30 quick and easy training videos. We highly recommend you watch each of these videos (or read the transcript) to get aquainted with this program.
  • LT101, LT102, LT103, LT104: Also included with your Logos package are four Logos Mobile Education modules created to familiarize users with the program. Access these materials by searching your library for LT101, LT102, LT103, or LT104.

  • Another option is to post your question to your FaithLife group, where a Logos representative or Western employee will be able to help you out.
