Integrate Faith and Practice MA in Counseling from a Christian Worldview
Western Seminary's Master of Arts in Counseling program is launching an online option for students beginning in the summer of 2025! Our CACREP-accredited degree prepares counselors to care for the whole person in the populations they serve. This program offers skill-based coursework, internship experience, as well as a requirement to complete your own personal counseling. Since this program is offered at a seminary, it also unites biblical and theological studies in order to connect both Christian worldview and compassion to the counseling profession.
- CACREP accredited
- Build community with a small cohort of online students
- Online synchronous training combined with a one-week residency at our Portland campus
- Christian & professional: Integrate your faith with your practice
- Hands-on, practical training: four semesters of supervised internship

"I am so incredibly grateful to have been in a place where faculty members cared enough for me to help me process through my theological hang ups, ministry questions, and even my personal issues. It was so exciting for me to have access to these amazing, Godly people who possess a wealth of wisdom and experience."

"I came to Western asking a lot of questions about suffering and grief. What you end up learning is that you aren’t the one who gives all the answers to people in pain. Instead, you walk with them and let Jesus do the transformation.”
