Paying Your Tuition

Your payment record at Western Seminary is as important as your academic record.  We’ve made it as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Option 1: Pay Tuition in Full

Tuition is due in full the Friday before the semester begins, regardless of when your class meets. (This includes online session C and Doctoral courses.)  Audit tuition is due at time of registration.

  • Please check your class schedule for the official semester dates. The first day of classes may vary from campus to campus. Generally speaking, the semester begins the first week of January, May and September.
  • You may pay by eCheck or credit card on our website, using the Student Information System or mail a check to Western Seminary Attn: Cashier, 5511 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97215.

Option 2: Payment Plan

If you prefer monthly payments, the seminary allows you to signup for a payment plan through SIS. The SIS payment plan allows you to:

  • Sign up each semester to make up to four monthly payments (requires you to sign up for a payment plan before the start of the semester; late signups may have fewer payment options)
  • Make your first payment at the payment due date for the semester
  • Make your payments directly through SIS
  • Be notified by Western Seminary in advance of your scheduled payments

Option 3: Payments from Other Sources

Waiting on financial aid or a third party payer?

  • It can take up to 8 weeks to receive financial aid, so prepare now for using either Option 1 or 2 in the event that your financial aid does not arrive prior to the start of the semester.
  • If you have not received your loan funds before the start of the semester, you will need to pay by credit/debit card or online check as noted in Option 1 above or sign up for Option 2: the institutional payment plan in SIS.

Please note: Students are expected to know and follow payment policies on this site.
