UYWI Coaching Project

Western Seminary is pleased to arrange for some of our coaching students/grads to work with leaders from Urban Youth Workers Institute.  This ongoing project aims to enhance the UYWI 90-degree Leadership Program.  This page is intended to help UYWI leaders get started with a coach.  Here’s how…

First, Choose Your Coach

All coaches are experienced coaches who’ve been trained by Western Seminary. (See their coaching bios at the bottom of this page.)
Once you’ve browsed the bios for the coaches, e-mail your top three choices (in order of preference) to Sean Post the Project Director at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Sean will make a match for you based on the coaches’ availability.
If none of your selected coaches is available (each coach has limited spots available for this project), Sean will let you know and you can make another selection.

Next, Contact Your Coach

Once Sean has confirmed your coach selection, you will contact your coach to set up the first call.  It is your responsibility to make contact with your coach.

During your first call with your coach, you will meet one another and set up a time for your first session.  During this initial call, if either of you decide it’s not a fit, let your coach know and then let Sean Post know you’d like a different coach and he will help you find a coach that is a better fit.

Then, Call Your Coach and Start Coaching

You and your coach will have a total of 8 coaching sessions.  Each session is conducted via telephone and will last 60 minutes.

Available Coaches

All coaches are trained by Western Seminary and have experience working with leaders and ministry persons.  Choose a coach from the list below to learn more about his or her particular experience.  By clicking the coach’s name, a bio will download (Adobe PDF format)

UYWI staff who are ready to get started, should contact Project Director Sean Post (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with their top choice prior to contacting a coach.
