Measles Immunization Documentation

The State of Oregon (OAR 333-050-0130) requires that anyone born after January 1, 1957, show proof of Measles (MMR) immunity through documentation of vaccinations. Portland Campus students needing to meet this requirement will have an S.I.S. registration hold on their account as a reminder to turn in needed MMR documentation worksheet. Failure to provide documentation means we are legally obligated to prevent you from attending classes after your first semester.

International Students:  As an international (non-U.S. citizen) student, you are required by law to have received at least the first of two doses of measles (Rubella) vaccine no more than 28 days prior to the beginning of your class attendance at Western Seminary. You will then be required to receive your second dose prior to attending classes in your second semester.

Counseling Students:  For program and practicum site eligiblity, counseling students will need to provide proof other required and suggeted immunizations. These immunizations are an important way to protect your health in community and public mental health settings. More information can be found in the Counseling Student Handbook or on the MMR documentation worksheet.
