Getting There

The commencement ceremony location will be announced by the end of October 2019.

Seating

There is enough room for each graduate, their family, and their friends, so we will not be distributing tickets for commencement this year.

Attire

We recommend guests dress business casual, as commencement is a dressy occasion but not as formal as the banquet.

Children

Western Seminary encourages guests to avoid bringing children under the age of five or older children who cannot sit quietly for extended periods of time. However, there is a family room if would like to use it, and mothers of nursing infants are invited to bring their infants.

Cell Phones

Please turn off cell phones and remind your guests to do the same in order to avoid interruptions during the ceremony.

Reception

We will be having a cookie and punch/coffee reception following the commencement ceremony. This will be an opportunity to take photos with other graduates and faculty, enjoy some time with your guests, and celebrate your accomplishment.

If you would like to go to lunch with your guest afterward, there are many options available to you; however, we would encourage you to make reservations as soon as possible.
