Expanded Online LIVE Courses This Fall Will Feature Live Video Teaching

Western Seminary's Online Campus is rolling out an expanded schedule of Online LIVE courses for fall 2020. Online LIVE courses provide the opportunity for students to engage in gospel-centered transformation in real-time, with teachers and students interacting through a video conferencing platform, such as Zoom. 

Western's new director of online learning, Andrew Pack shares a video update about what's on the horizon:


Seven courses are available in this format for the fall:

  • BT 501 - Hermeneutics with Andrew Pack (Tuesday 4:30-5:30 p.m.)
  • NT 521 - Greek 1 with Jason Pederson (Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 p.m.)
  • ML 502 - Transformational Leadership with John Johnson (Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.)
  • ML 503 - Nurturing Faithful Disciples with Ron Mars and Bill Clem (Thursdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m.)
  • BL 501 - Interpreting Genesis to Song of Solomon with Josh Mathews (Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.)
  • TH 501 - Theology 1: Knowing the Triune God with Tim Harmon (Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m.)
  • BT 570 - OT use in the NT with Chris Bruno (Saturday 8-9 a.m.)

These classes typically meet for an hour every week, during late weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings. While some of these classes utilize lecture videos in tandem with live video teaching, others rely only on live class time for instruction.
