Thanks to a generous donation of $940,000 from a Vancouver, Wash.-based non-profit, Western Seminary is setting up a new, permanently endowed scholarship fund available to those students with a desire to serve the church and community by providing mental health resources to children, families, and adults.

“We are grateful for the generosity of this organization and their desire to partner with Western Seminary for gospel-centered transformation,” said President Chuck Conniry, PhD, “This new scholarship fund will make seminary training more accessible for our students for years to come.”

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be actively enrolled in a degree program and demonstrate an intent to navigate mental health-related distress through prevention, intervention, and/or restoration. Funds will be available to students beginning in 2026.

The donor organization, which wishes to remain anonymous, aligns closely with Western Seminary’s mission to equip men and women for Christ-centered service and leadership.
