Karen Arvin web

Karen Arvin, Technical Services Librarian at the Portland campus, has retired after 39.5 years of service. She has faithfully seen the library through many transitions, relocations and updates.

 

 

 


Carrie Priest webCarrie Priest, Director of Student Services at the San Jose campus, left Western after thirteen years of service to the Western Seminary San Jose community. She has transitioned into a new role as Director of Academic and Student Development at William Jessup University's San Jose campus.

 

 


Robert Bridges webBob Bridges has joined the Western team as the Senior V.P. for Stewardship. He will work remotely from Lexington, KY, where he lives with his wife of 46 years, Candy. Formerly the VP for Advancement at Asbury Theological Seminary and at Reformed Theological Seminary, Bob has much experience fundraising in a theological education environment.

Matthew Thiesen has assumed many of Karen Arvin's responsibilities and has started as Western's new Assistant Library Director of the Cline-Tunnell Library. Matthew earned his M.A. in Exegetical Theology from Western Seminary and is in the process of completing his Th.M. He also has his M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas.
