Antioch Cohort
Western Seminary is partnering with the Antioch Movement to offer gospel-centered theological education uniquely designed for Antioch church leaders. Beginning in the fall of 2025, Western will launch the first Antioch Cohort for its MA in Ministry and Leadership degree. This online cohort will allow Antioch leaders to earn their degree within their current ministry contexts, combining coursework from Antioch's U.S. Leadership Track with Western courses for a master's degree.
What Sets This Cohort Apart?
- Combine Antioch's U.S. Leadership Track (USLT) coursework with Western courses for master's credit.
- Build a theological framework that empowers decades of impactful ministry leadership.
- Enjoy a condensed classroom format, meeting one day per month over Zoom for your Bible and theology classes.
- Benefit from curated discussions over Zoom every month to discuss the application of your training in USLT.
- Take advantage of a partnership grant to lower your tuition costs by 50%.
- Journey through your degree alongside fellow Antioch leaders from start to finish.
We are excited to partner with Antioch because we see a real resonance with Antioch's Jesus-focused, gospel-centered, kingdom-minded approach to ministry around the world.

Develop Deep Relationships with Antioch Leaders
Cohort students journey together with the same group of Antioch leaders in their classes as part of their three-year degree program. The deep relationships developed in the cohort enable the friendship and trust for mutual growth in knowledge, character, and skills for ministry. Discussions and assignments are designed for immediate application in the students’ ministry context, enriching both the classroom and church life.
Meet Twice a Month
Bible and theology class meetings are conveniently scheduled one full day a month via web conference. Those classes typically meet on a Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ministry formation, Christian spirituality, and ministry leadership classes meet one hour per month via web conference.
Learn from Ministry Practitioners
Cohort curator Andrew Pack, EdD, is not only a skilled and knowledgeable professor. He is an experienced pastor and church planter in the Northwest. He will help guide you in applying the insights you gain in the program to the challenges of life and ministry. Teaching will also come from other Western Seminary faculty in their areas of expertise on Bible and theology. You will be able to have discussion with professors as you are equipped for ministry in today’s world.
Real-World Ministry Application
It is not enough to master content and learn the head knowledge. Transformative theological education encompasses the whole person. This program embraces a holistic educational model that will also include a highly personalized approach to your own formation as a student, a follower of Jesus, and a ministry leader.
