Planning Tools

What class do I take when?  How do I know when certain classes will be offered?  Will I be able to change any plans I make?  What if I need to withdrawal or do something atypical?

Western's accessible options are like a buffet with servers behind the glass offering suggestions upon request.  There are so many options and ways to take classes and order in which to take them.  Just like a buffet that may have certain items on multiple sections of the table, so there are certain classes, plans and options in multiple avenues.

This page directs you as a guide to help.  There is an order suggesting what might help, but see it also as a FAQ resource navigating your journey at Western.

1. Graduation Plan

gpA grad plan is simply a guide to have so that you know graduation is planned. You might not know how many credits you want to take each term. You might have "life" happen and need to change your plan. You may not even know which program you want to enroll. Regardless of your circumstances, we want you to have a plan.

Your advisor will navigate this process with you closely, but you can most likely begin to plan this out on your own. Some of the tools below will help immensely, but linked here is the plan itself.

All Sacramento Campus students MUST submit an updated Grad Plan prior to registering for their fall term.  Digital copies of Grad Plans can be sent to you if you've misplaced yours.  Advisors welcome the opportunity to sit down and plan with you.  Remember: the goal is graduation!

2. Course Offerings

MFT divtheoThese downloads will help you know which courses are offered when on Sacramento's campus.  Page two gives the title of the course and how many credits it is.  While there may be changes here and there to these, they will help more than anything else with working out your Grad Plan.  They plan cyclically as well as four years out.

The ORANGE document is for the M.Div., MABTS, MAML, GSD, GSC and Non-Degree program offerings on the Sacramento Campus and is linked here .

The PURPLE document is for MFT program offerings on the Sacramento Campus and is linked here.
