Western Seminary Seattle Teaching Site

Western Seminary launched its Seattle Teaching Site in Bellevue to serve new and current Western Seminary students who come from any number of churches in the greater Seattle region. 

Western Seminary is recognized worldwide for offering trustworthy and accessible training for gospel-centered transformation. Since launching in 1927, over 5500 students have trained at Western for vocational and volunteer ministry as pastors, counselors, coaches, missionaries and educators. 

With this site in the center of the Seattle/Puget Sound region, students throughout western Washington have a convenient location to benefit from Western's gospel-centered education. 

Training Options 

Graduate Studies Certificate

Earn the 16 credit Graduate Studies Certificate Open Track by taking hybrid courses only at the Seattle teaching site.

This compact program allows you to build a foundational exploration in one area of concentration that you choose, such as Bible, theology, or ministry. Then utilize open electives to add in specialized content that will help your shape your learning to the context and community in which you minister. When completing your application or requesting information, select "Seattle Teaching Site" as your campus.

Master's Degree or Diploma

Take up to 28 credits of core Bible, theology, and ministry skill hybrid courses at the Seattle teaching site. Then use those credits to complete a full master's degree or diploma through specialized courses at our Online, Portland, San Jose, or Sacramento campuses. When completing your application or requesting information, select your preferred campus to finish your degree (Online, Portland, San Jose, or Sacramento).
