Transcripts

Your transcript is a part of your academic record and contains your course history at Western Seminary. To make a transcript request, please complete and submit a request from one of the options below. Your request for an official Western Seminary transcript is fulfilled through our partner, Parchment. They manage transcript order processing and delivery while Western retains the official transcript information.

Current Students

To request your transcript, you will first login to the Student Information System (S.I.S.) and select the Transcripts Online link under Student Records. The link will direct you to an enrollment page with Parchment. Once you register with Parchment and they have your electronic signature on file, future requests are easy to make. Starting the process through S.I.S. will make the process easier and will eliminate the need for you to complete an additional electronic signature process since you will be authenticated as a current or former Western Seminary student through S.I.S.

Former Students

If you no longer have access to SIS, or you attended Western before 1990, the first step is to enroll directly through the Parchment website. You will also be required to complete a Transcript Authorization Form (TAF), sign, and fax or scan it so Parchment can process your request for a Western Seminary official transcript. Requests will not be processed without the signature. As part of the one-time account setup and for identity verification, you will be asked to provide the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to process my transcript?

Electronic transcript delivery is much quicker than paper transcripts but they still require time to process the transcript order. You can choose one of the following options:

Regular processing: transcript will be processed within 7-10 business days (no additional charge).

Rush processing: transcript will be processed within three business days with an additional fee of $15.00 per U.S. address.

In-person pick up: If you would like to pick up a paper transcript in person, please contact the registrar's office at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 503.517.1809 to arrange a time to pick it up.

Western Seminary takes responsibility for processing transcripts within the requested amount of time, but cannot guarantee delivery by email, the postal service, or receipt of the transcript.

Holds on your student account or payment owed to Western Seminary may delay the processing of your transcript. For the most effective results, please respond to these requirements before making a transcript request.

Why should I order electronically?

Electronic ordering allows you to track your order from receipt through delivery. You will be notified electronically once your transcript has been received by the intended recipient and you will know when that person has viewed your transcript. Transcript delivery is also much quicker, as fast as an email. Each recipient is sent a unique access code to your transcript order and must log in to download your transcript so your records remain secure throughout the entire process. In addition, ordering electronically is faster than ordering a transcript by paper and also allows you to pay for the transcript order through more options than are available by paper.

Are electronic transcripts OK?

Electronic transcripts are becoming more accepted by recipients, particularly since they are a high-security PDF of your transcript information and can be verified as secure data, even into the future. Electronic transcripts can also be delivered much quicker and for less cost, often eliminating the need for you to order a Rush copy.
