Receiving Your Diploma
If you graduate in the fall or spring semesters, diplomas will be mailed to you. It takes 6-9 weeks for the Registrar's Office to process and mail them. To expedite processing, please make sure the following conditions have been met:
- All of your final grades have been submitted by faculty and your degree has been certified.
- Your account balance has been cleared with the Business Office.
- You have completed the Financial Aid Exit Interview if you've received federal loans.
- Your mailing address that is listed in S.I.S. is current.
Summer Graduates
You'll receive your diploma in the mail once the above conditions have been met. Summer grades are due at the end of August, and the certification process can take several weeks due to the high volume of work at the beginning of the school year. Thus, summer diplomas are generally mailed out in mid- to late-September. Keep in mind that if you do not complete your graduation requirements, your graduation date will be pushed back to the next term.
Using Your Legal Name
Like your transcript, your diploma will be an official document. Therefore, we will be using your full, legal name. If you legally change your name before you graduate, you must submit a Name Change Form prior to the last day of the semester in which your degree will be certified.
Dimensions
Should you be interested in purchasing a diploma frame, know that master's diplomas are 8" x 10". Diploma frames can be purchased directly through Jostens.
